Needs legal review: The consumer cancellation-rights wording below (particularly the treatment of digital content supplied immediately, and the position for sole traders) should be confirmed by a qualified UK solicitor before launch.

1. How to cancel

You can cancel a paid Scaleify plan at any time from billing settings inside the app, or by contacting us through the support page. No phone call or retention conversation is required. You can also close your account entirely, which ends both the subscription and your access.

2. When cancellation takes effect

Cancellation stops the next automatic renewal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and your renewal date is shown in billing settings. We do not pro-rate a partly used month by default.

3. Access and data after cancellation

When the paid period ends, your workspace reverts to the Free plan entitlements or, if you closed the account, access ends. Remaining credits cease to be usable once the account is closed and are not paid out. Data is retained or deleted in line with our Privacy Policy; export anything you need before closing the account.

4. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy removes rights you have under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and, where they apply, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. We do not operate an "all sales are final" rule. If a service we supplied is not carried out with reasonable care and skill, or is not as described, you are entitled to a remedy regardless of the discretionary positions below.

Where you buy as a consumer and the law gives you a 14-day cancellation right for distance contracts, that right applies. For digital content and services supplied immediately at your request, that right can be reduced or lost once supply has begun and you have acknowledged this — for example when credits are used or a subscription period is being consumed. We will always tell you clearly at checkout when this applies.

5. Subscription refunds

  • Unused period, requested promptly. If you contact us within 14 days of a charge and have made little or no use of the paid features in that period, we will normally refund it in full.
  • Accidental renewal. If a renewal was clearly unintended and the new period is barely used, we will normally refund it and cancel the plan.
  • Service failure. If a fault on our side prevented you using the service for a meaningful part of a period, we will refund or credit a fair proportion.
  • Used periods. Periods already substantially used are not normally refunded, except where your statutory rights require it.

6. Credit refunds

Credits consumed by operations that ran successfully are not refundable, because the service was delivered. Credits are, however, automatically returned by the platform when an operation fails or produces no usable result, and duplicate requests are protected from double-charging. If you believe credits were deducted in error, contact us with the date and operation and we will check the credit ledger and correct it. Unused credits from a purchased pack may be refunded at our discretion, and will be refunded where your statutory rights require it.

7. Ad campaign payments

Ad campaign work is bespoke. Before work begins, a paid campaign can normally be cancelled for a full refund. Once work has started, refunds reflect the work already carried out and any third-party ad spend already committed, which cannot be recovered. We will always set out the breakdown.

8. Failed, duplicate and disputed payments

Failed payments may be retried and can pause access to paid features. Genuine duplicate charges are refunded in full once verified. Please contact us before raising a chargeback — it is usually faster, and we may suspend an account while a chargeback is being investigated.

9. Exceptional situations

We consider refunds outside these positions on their merits, for example bereavement, serious illness, fraudulent use of your card, or a billing mistake by us. Refunds granted as a goodwill gesture do not change this policy for other cases.

10. How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through our payment processor, normally within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank. We cannot refund to a different card or account.

11. Contact

Refund and cancellation requests: [LEGAL CONTACT EMAIL], or the contact page. Include the account email and the charge date so we can find the payment quickly.
