Cookie Policy

1. Short summary

Scaleify sets no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels and no third-party analytics cookies. The only storage we use is what is needed to keep you signed in and to remember one interface preference. Because these are strictly necessary or set by your own action, no cookie consent banner is required — and we have deliberately not added one you would have to dismiss.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores on your device. Similar technologies such as local storage keep data in your browser in the same way. This policy covers both.

3. Strictly necessary storage

• Authentication session. When you log in, our authentication provider stores your session token in your browser so you stay signed in as you move between pages. It is cleared when you sign out. Without it, the app cannot keep you logged in.
• Security and abuse prevention. Our hosting layer may use request-level protections to keep the service available and block abuse.

These are exempt from consent because the service you asked for cannot work without them.

4. Preference cookies

• sidebar_state. Remembers whether you collapsed the dashboard sidebar, for up to 7 days. It is only written after you toggle the sidebar yourself, contains no personal data, and is not used for tracking.

5. Analytics

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar or any comparable third-party analytics tracker, and no analytics cookie is set on your device. We do record first-party product-usage events in our own database (for example that a search ran) to keep the service reliable and to improve it. That is described in the Privacy Policy and relies on legitimate interests rather than cookies.

6. Marketing and advertising cookies

None. Scaleify does not run advertising or remarketing tags on this site.

7. Third-party cookies

• Stripe. If you start a checkout you are taken to Stripe's own hosted page, where Stripe sets its own cookies for payment security and fraud prevention under its own policy.
• Google. If you choose Sign in with Google, Google handles the sign-in on its own pages and applies its own cookie policy there.

Neither of these sets advertising cookies on Scaleify's own pages.

8. Consent

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is required for storage that is not strictly necessary for a service you requested. Everything listed above is either strictly necessary or set as a direct result of your own interface choice, so no consent banner is presented. If we ever introduce analytics or marketing cookies, we will add a consent mechanism that lets you accept, reject and manage non-essential cookies with equal prominence, and we will not set them before you choose.

Needs legal review: Confirm this position with a data protection adviser before launch, and re-check it whenever a new third-party script is added to the site.

9. Controlling cookies

You can delete or block cookies and clear local storage in your browser settings, and browsers let you do this per site. Blocking the strictly necessary items will sign you out and prevent the app from working. You can also sign out at any time, which clears the session token.

10. Changes

We update this policy whenever the storage we use changes. The version and dates at the top of this page reflect the current text.
